Ozzy Osbourne to Receive BRITs Lifetime Achievement Award

Ozzy Osbourne will be posthumously honoured with the BRITs Lifetime Achievement Award at this year's ceremony in Manchester. The event, taking place at the Co-op Live on February 28, marks the first time the awards have been held outside London in their 50-year history.

The tribute will feature an all-star performance of 'No More Tears', the title track from Ozzy's 1991 album. The performance, curated by his wife Sharon Osbourne, will include former band members Adam Wakeman, Robert Trujillo, Tommy Clufetos and Zakk Wylde, and will be fronted by Robbie Williams, a long-time fan and friend of the family.

Stacey Tang, Chair of the 2026 BRIT Awards Committee, said: 'Ozzy Osbourne has been a mighty force in modern music. Possessing an unmistakable voice and unique presence, he reshaped the sound and spirit of rock, inspiring generations of artists who followed.'

Ozzy died last year, shortly after Black Sabbath's farewell show at Villa Park in Birmingham. Sharon Osbourne revealed that he knew he was nearing the end but insisted on performing, saying: 'He went out like a king.'

Other honourees include Mark Ronson, receiving the Outstanding Contribution to Music award, and Noel Gallagher, awarded Songwriter of the Year. The ceremony will be broadcast on ITV1 and streamed globally on YouTube.
