Newcastle set to miss out on Oasis 2027 tour dates

Oasis are widely expected to announce 2027 tour dates by the end of this month, but Newcastle looks set to be left out. Two other major UK venues have reportedly been confirmed by insiders, with no St James' Park visit on the cards.

It has been nearly two years since Ticketmaster crashed as an estimated 4 million people tried to buy tickets for the Oasis reunion tour. The prospect of seeing the indie icons on the same stage for the first time since 2009 caused huge online queues and complaints about 'dynamic' pricing when tickets went on sale in August 2024.

Tour history and leaked dates

After every ticket sold out, Oasis began the UK leg of their tour in Cardiff last July, before playing Manchester, London, Edinburgh and Dublin. Sixteen years earlier, they played the Stadium of Light in Sunderland on their last tour, but there was no North East visit in 2025.

That made the appearance of St James' Park on two separate lists of 'leaked' Oasis dates for the next tour particularly exciting, with bookies slashing odds on the chances of it happening. Liam Gallagher added to the speculation by telling fans that 'there's definitely something going on' at the start of last month.

Etihad and Knebworth plans

However, sources now claim Oasis will instead play the Etihad Stadium in their native Manchester and Knebworth, where they famously performed in the summer of 1996. The Manchester Evening News confirmed the rumoured 12 Etihad gigs, with an insider telling the paper: 'It will be 12 nights at the Etihad Stadium across May and June. They could even add more dates to that as well, there's talk of up to 20. The wider tour is also going to include a return to Knebworth.'

Other outlets reported that Oasis' concert promoters had secured a licence for Knebworth, following claims by The Sun that the band would do six nights there.
