The Summer Nights on the Southside festival returns to Queen's Park next week, with British pop rock band McFly kicking off the four-day event on Thursday, August 27.
McFly will play to crowds of 6,000 at the top tent on the first day of the festival. Band members Tom Fletcher, Danny Jones, Dougie Poynter and Harry Judd will be joined by a series of Scottish support acts, including Glasgow's Twin Atlantic, Edinburgh alt rockers Picture The Scene and North Ayrshire rock band Vukovi.
Doors open at 4pm with tickets still available
Doors open at 4pm, and tickets are still available to see McFly, who were one of the most famous boybands of the 2000s. First formed in 2003, McFly's debut single Five Colours in Her Hair went straight to number one in the UK charts.
McFly's biggest rivalry at the time was the pop-punk band Busted, who formed three years prior in 2000. The two bands later merged to form supergroup McBusted but still make separate appearances.
Full line-up for the weekend
McFly are the first of four headliners throughout the course of the weekend. Friday night (August 28) will see Scots singer Callum Beattie take to the stage, while Welsh rockers Super Furry Animals are set to headline on Saturday (August 29) at the Big City 2026 event.
Both nights will see a series of other support acts play, including Riane Downey on the Friday and Spiritualized on the Saturday. On Sunday, the 2000s pop band Scissor Sisters will be the only act of the night as they close the four-day Southside Festival.
