Marvin Humes, best known as a member of the boyband JLS, has announced he is leaving his weekday show on Kisstory to join Hits Radio. The 41-year-old presenter and DJ will host a new weekday afternoon show on Hits Radio from April 13, airing from 1pm to 4pm.
Humes joined KISS FM in 2024, taking over the mid-morning slot from 11am to 1pm, which was later extended. He will now move to Hits Radio, with his first broadcast on Bank Holiday Monday, April 6, presenting the station's Top 300 Countdown from 4pm.
In a statement, Humes said: 'I cannot wait to get started on Hits Radio! I’ve always loved their great music mix of the biggest hits and the biggest throwbacks, and I already feel such a part of the Hits family.' He will also continue to host a new Sunday show on Kisstory from 4pm to 7pm.
Humes shared the news on Instagram, writing: 'After an incredible two years on Kisstory Monday-Friday’s, it’s time for a new chapter!' His I'm A Celebrity co-star Sam Thompson, who already presents on Hits Radio, welcomed him with 'Welcome home.' Pussycat Dolls singer Kimberley Wyatt also expressed her excitement.
Paul Gerrard, Content Director for KISS and Hits Radio, praised Humes as 'a fantastic talent with genuine star quality and a real passion for radio.' Humes will be joined by Brit Award winner Olivia Dean for an exclusive chat during his first official show.
