Lourdes Leon bares all to promote new single Tramp Stamp

Madonna's daughter Lourdes Leon has shared a series of striking photographs to promote her new single "Tramp Stamp," explaining that the track explores female autonomy, generational trauma, and womanhood.

The 30-year-old, who performs under the name Lola Leon or Lolahol, released "Tramp Stamp" on November 4, accompanied by a set of daring promotional images. The photos were captured by fashion and visual artist Elizaveta Porodina, who also created the official single cover art.

Provocative Promotional Shots

Shot in Porodina's trademark painterly, surreal style, the photographs showcase vivid, multi-coloured neon lighting, shifting between washes of acid green, deep pink, yellow, and red. The images show Lourdes posed dramatically on the floor in sky-high Pleaser platform heels, clad in barely-there sheer lace pieces with her long, dark hair splayed out around her. Another risqué image shows the braless star lifting up her top.

Fans reacted enthusiastically to the post online, with the images racking up thousands of likes. One admirer exclaimed: "So stunning," while another branded her "gorgeous." A third commented: "I love the new song, Lola currently has a 100% success rate, I love every single song."

Meaning Behind the Track

"Tramp Stamp" was co-written and produced with English singer-producer Oscar Scheller. Despite its provocative title, Leon made clear that the track is not about a literal tattoo. Rather, she described it as a deep dive into female autonomy, generational trauma, and womanhood.

She explained that the song seeks to free herself from the negative perceptions placed upon women who express themselves openly, honour those in her bloodline who endured suffering, and question what is innate versus what is shaped by experience. The track boasts an experimental, hypnotic trance sound, weaving together stream-of-consciousness, darker lyricism with delicate, ethereal melodies and haunting vocal echoes.

Following in Madonna's Footsteps

Leon follows in her mum Madonna's footsteps by embracing provocation, which is long regarded as the pop icon's defining artistic trademark and the foundation upon which she built her reputation for courting controversy and sexuality. Throughout the 1980s and 1990s, Madonna consistently challenged conservative social norms, transforming media outrage into undeniable cultural influence.

Leon kicked off her music career in 2022 with her debut single "Lock&Key" (followed by her debut EP Go) and has since dropped tracks including "Boy Next Door," "Spelling," "T Shirt," and "The Test."
