Katherine Jenkins has been revealed as the voice of the 2026 M&S Christmas advert, performing a reimagined version of the 1980s hit Heaven Is A Place On Earth. The track serves as the exclusive soundtrack to the retailer's Home of Christmas campaign, and it also features Jenkins in a special appearance as the Fete singer.

Reimagining a Classic

Nearly 40 years after Belinda Carlisle first released Heaven Is a Place on Earth, Jenkins brings her own voice to the much-loved classic. The song held special significance for her from the start, making it the perfect choice to reinterpret in her own style.

For the reimagining, Jenkins worked with producer Fraser T Smith, known for his work on Adele's Set Fire to the Rain, and Tom Howe, celebrated for his music for Ted Lasso.

Festive Trailer Debut

The festive trailer makes its TV debut on ITV's This Morning on Friday, November 6. Jenkins stars alongside James Norton, who takes on the role of an undercover Santa, and Lucy Punch, who plays Mrs Claus.

In the video, Norton goes incognito to experience Christmas without being recognised, swapping his red Santa suit for a Christmas jumper and shaving his beard. He leaves the North Pole and heads into the world to enjoy moments that make Christmas special, including getting dressed up, gathering around a table of food, and choosing gifts.

Jenkins said of the release: "Together with an extraordinary team, we've given this song a new musical voice for Christmas while staying true to its heart. At its core is a simple belief: through giving, forgiving and loving, we can find a little heaven here on earth."
