The rapper formerly known as Kanye West, now legally named Ye, is set to headline the Wireless Festival in Finsbury Park, marking his first UK performance in 11 years. The controversial artist will be the headline act for all three days of the festival in 2026.
The announcement comes months after Ye apologised for antisemitic remarks, which he attributed to a bipolar episode. In an open letter published in The Wall Street Journal, he said he wanted to 'earn forgiveness' and apologised to the black community for letting them down.
Ye described experiencing a manic episode in 2025 that lasted around four months, leading to 'psychotic, paranoid and impulsive behaviour that destroyed my life'. He also referenced a car crash 25 years ago that led to his bipolar diagnosis.
Organisers Festival Republic said the festival will feature a 'three-night journey through his most iconic records', including albums such as The College Dropout, Graduation, and My Beautiful Dark Twisted Fantasy. Ye has three number one singles in the UK.
His return to the UK comes after a controversial history at Wireless; in 2014, the crowd booed him off stage following a mid-set rant about the fashion industry.
