Harry Styles has achieved a number one chart double in the UK for the second time, following the release of his latest album, the Official Charts Company has confirmed. The 32-year-old's new 12-track record, Kiss All The Time. Disco, Occasionally, shot straight to the top of the album chart upon its release on Friday, while his single American Girls claimed the top spot on the singles chart.
This feat mirrors his success in 2022, when his album Harry’s House and single As It Was also secured a chart double. The Official Charts Company noted that Styles delivered the biggest opening week for a male solo artist in nine years, a record previously held by Ed Sheeran with Divide in 2017. The new release, his first in nearly four years, also leads the UK vinyl albums chart as the biggest selling vinyl of 2026 to date.
Styles rose to prominence as a member of One Direction, formed on ITV's The X Factor in 2010. His solo career, launched after the group's hiatus in 2016, has seen him achieve multiple Grammy and Brit awards. This week's success marks his third number one album and fourth number one single as a solo artist.
Elsewhere on the albums chart, Olivia Dean secures second place with The Art Of Loving, followed by Morrissey's Make-Up Is A Lie at number three. Fleetwood Mac's compilation 50 Years – Don’t Stop is at four, with Bruno Mars' The Romantic completing the top five. On the singles chart, Styles holds three positions within the top five: American Girls at number one, Aperture at four, and Ready Steady Go at five. Dean's collaboration with Sam Fender, Rein Me In, drops to number two after three weeks at the summit, while Bella Kay's viral track ILoveItILoveItILoveIt takes the third spot.
