Ariana Grande has confirmed that her upcoming 'Eternal Sunshine' arena tour will likely be her last major tour for the foreseeable future, as she plans to take a break from music to focus on other creative passions.
The 32-year-old singer, speaking on the 'Good Hang with Amy Poehler' podcast, described the tour as a 'one last hurrah for now,' adding that she does not expect to tour again 'for a long, long, long, long time.' She said she intends to give the performances her all before stepping back from international touring.
Grande admitted that her pop career had 'taken over' her life and that she is now learning to prioritise other interests, including musical theatre and comedy, which she loved growing up. She noted that following 'authentic impulses' feels like the right path for her soul and art.
The tour, her first major one in seven years, kicks off next summer across the US and Canada, concluding with 10 nights at London's O2 Arena. It supports her chart-topping album 'Eternal Sunshine,' released in March 2024.
In recent years, Grande has shifted focus to acting, starring as Glinda in 'Wicked' and filming 'Fockers In-Law' alongside Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro. She rose to fame on Nickelodeon before becoming a global pop star with seven UK No.1 singles and two Grammy Awards.
