Who Is Victoria Ekanoye?

Victoria Ekanoye is a 44-year-old actress and singer who began her career in musical theatre, performing in the West End production of The Lion King as Queen Sarabi and Nala. She is best known internationally for playing Rachel, the loyal confidante and assistant to Elizabeth Hurley's Queen Helena in the E! series The Royals.

Prior to her guest role in Death in Paradise, Ekanoye had a two-year stint on ITV's Coronation Street as Angie Appleton. Other notable onscreen roles include appearances in Girl Taken, The Turkish Detective, Doctors, and The Worst Witch.
