Amazon Prime Video has confirmed the cast for its upcoming Tomb Raider television series, based on the iconic video game franchise. The show will star Sophie Turner, best known for her role in Game of Thrones, as archaeologist Lara Croft.
Martin Bobb-Semple, who appeared in One of Us Is Lying, officially joins as tech expert Zip. The cast also features Hollywood heavyweights Jason Isaacs as Atlas DeMornay and Sigourney Weaver as Evelyn Wallis, described as a mysterious woman keen to exploit Lara's talents.
Bill Paterson will portray Winston, Lara's butler at Croft Manor, a beloved character from the games. Jack Bannon steps in as Gerry, Lara's pilot, while John Heffernan plays government official David. Celia Imrie will appear as Francine, Head of Advancement at the British Museum.
Further additions include Paterson Joseph as senior official Thomas Warner, Sasha Luss as Sasha, Juliette Motamed as museum curator Georgia, and August Wittgenstein as illegal raider Lukas. Amazon has yet to reveal a release date or detailed plot, but the series is said to draw inspiration from the action-adventure storytelling of the Tomb Raider games.
