Strictly Favourite La Voix 'Thrilled' to Land EastEnders Cameo
Strictly Favourite La Voix Lands EastEnders Cameo Role

Fans of EastEnders are in for a treat as a Strictly Come Dancing favourite is rumoured to be making an appearance on the popular BBC soap.

Reports suggest that former Strictly contestant La Voix is lined up for a cameo on the iconic EastEnders set.

The drag legend, also known as Christopher Dennis in real life, is expected to join the soap in celebration of Pride month with a performance at the Queen Vic.

This forms part of Walford's LGBTQ+ festivities which will be broadcast soon. The show first started marking Pride in 2019.

La Voix, a star from RuPaul's Drag Race, is good friends with actress Harriet Thorpe, who portrays Elaine Peacock, the previous landlady of the pub.

An insider told The Sun: "Since starring on Strictly last year, La Voix has absolutely been the Beeb's top pick, helping them host events and even announcing the UK's scores for Eurovision."

"So when there was discussion about a drag queen performing at Walford Pride, there was only ever one option. La Voix was absolutely thrilled to be asked and bosses hope viewers enjoy the fun Pride special."

This marks another significant TV opportunity for the star following their success on Strictly. Just last month, La Voix was part of the Eurovision ensemble, reports the Mirror.

Each year, a celebrity from each participating country joins the show via video call to announce which acts have received maximum points from their nation. This year's UK representative was the former Strictly contestant.

Following the announcement, La Voix expressed: "I'm absolutely over the moon to be announcing the UK Jury scores at Eurovision 2026."

"It's the one night where sequins are en masse, key changes are compulsory, and absolutely anything can happen – so naturally I feel right at home. I'll do my best to behave... but no promises!"

La Voix has joined the ranks of renowned personalities to assume the role, following in the footsteps of notable names such as Sophie Ellis-Bextor, who stepped in for Ncuti Gatwa in 2025, and Joanna Lumley.

La Voix's appointment as Eurovision host comes amid speculation that she was being considered to co-host Strictly alongside Emma Willis, amidst uncertainty surrounding Tess Daly and Claudia Winkleman's replacements.

However, rather than opting for the drag artist, the BBC selected Josh Widdicombe and Johannes Radebe. The contestants for this year's show have also started to be announced.

EastEnders star Lacey Turner is set to participate, following significant storylines for her character Stacey Slater in the soap opera. Delta Goodrem will also take part in the show.

Meanwhile, Dani Dyer is hoping for a more successful run in the upcoming series, marking her second attempt after being forced to withdraw due to injury last time around.
