A major Star Wars exhibition featuring rare memorabilia will open at the Life Science Centre in Newcastle from February 2027. The Force of the Story will showcase items from one of the world's leading private collections of Star Wars memorabilia, displayed in the UK for the first time as the original film celebrates its 50th anniversary.
What the exhibition includes
Visitors will be able to see rare memorabilia while exploring the ideas, technologies and scientific possibilities that helped inspire the films and continue to shape the world today. The exhibition is being developed by World Touring Exhibitions, an international producer of touring cultural experiences.
The collection is drawn from one of the world's leading private collections of Star Wars memorabilia and will be displayed in the UK as part of a specially curated programme.
Life's ambition for the exhibition

The announcement follows the Centre for Life confirming that its popular dinosaurs exhibition will remain until Christmas.
