Nintendo Direct's quirkiest game, Rhythm Paradise Groove, is now available as a demo on the Nintendo Switch and Switch 2. The demo was released on June 22, roughly two weeks ahead of the full game's launch on July 2.
The first title shown during the June 2026 Nintendo Direct, Rhythm Paradise Groove is the first game in the series in over a decade, following 2015's Rhythm Paradise Megamix on Nintendo 3DS. It features more than 80 minigames for solo play and over 30 for multiplayer.
Demo Content and Progress Transfer
The demo includes the first five solo minigames and multiplayer practice for 'tweezer timing' with friends. Notably, all progress made in the demo carries over to the full game.
According to Nintendo, the full game offers co-op and competitive modes reminiscent of the GameCube cult classic WarioWare. A 'rhythm RPG' mode called BeatSpell and a Drum Lessons mode for drumming basics are also included.
Pricing and Pre-Order
Rhythm Paradise Groove is available for pre-order on the Nintendo eShop for £33.99. The demo can be downloaded by opening the eShop on a Switch or Switch 2 console, selecting the game from the home screen or 'coming soon' tab, choosing 'Download Demo', and confirming.
