PlayStation Plus subscribers are counting down to the release of the Extra and Premium games for July 2026. While not all PS Plus Extra games will be released at once, the vast majority will make their debut later this week. This includes the headline release, as well as both retro classics coming to PS Plus Premium.
PS Plus Extra and Premium Games Line-Up for July 2026
A grand total of seven games are coming to PS Plus Extra in July, while two retro classics have been announced for PlayStation Plus Premium, doubling the usual amount of retro games. The headline new release is Ubisoft's licensed open-world shooter Avatar Frontiers of Pandora. The highly-rated Avatar video game spinoff sees players attempt to protect Pandora from the RDA.
Another game that could easily have headlined is third-person action game Rise of the Ronin, developed by Nioh and Ninja Gaiden studio Team Ninja. Fans can also grab 2D brawler Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, as well as Firefighting Simulator: Ignite, Dying Light, and Snow Bros. Wonderland. Finally, Sony is offering subscribers the chance to play an RPG hidden gem Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector, which combines tabletop-style gameplay with clever writing and an engaging game world.
Over on PlayStation Plus Premium, fans can pick up superb PS2 action game Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy, as well as Quantic Dream's forgotten interactive drama Indigo Prophecy.
PS Plus Extra and Premium Release Dates and Times for July 2026
Similar to last month, the PS Plus Extra games will be released in stages, giving subscribers plenty to look forward to throughout July. It all began on July 15, when Rise of the Ronin joined the PS Plus Extra library, the same day the titles were announced.
Around half of the games have been given a July 21 release date and a 9am BST UK launch time. This includes Avatar Frontiers of Pandora and Firefighting Simulator: Ignite for PS Plus Extra, not to mention Psi-Ops: The Mindgate Conspiracy and Indigo Prophecy for PlayStation Plus Premium. Finally, Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: Rita’s Rewind, Dying Light, Snow Bros. Wonderland, and Citizen Sleeper 2: Starward Vector will launch at 9am BST UK time on July 18.
Games Leaving PS Plus in July 2026
Sadly, multiple titles will be leaving the service on July 21. Consider this your final warning to play the likes of The Jackbox Party Pack 9, Risk of Rain 2, and Tropico 6. Other games confirmed to be leaving PS Plus Extra include Source of Madness, Cursed to Golf, Hundred Days – Winemaking Simulator, and Infinite Minigolf. Finally, Get Even is also about to be removed from the PlayStation Plus Extra Catalog on July 21.
