PS Plus August 2026 Games Include Dying Light 2 and Signalis for Horror Fans
PS Plus August 2026 Games Announced: Dying Light 2, Signalis

Sony has surprised PlayStation Plus subscribers by announcing the August 2026 Essentials line-up a day early. Typically revealed on the Wednesday before the first Tuesday of the month, the new games were unveiled on Tuesday, July 28, and will be available from August 4.

Two Horror Games Lead the Line-Up

Horror fans are in for a treat this August, as two of the three PS Plus Essentials are from the genre. The headliner is Dying Light 2, a first-person zombie survival game set in a post-apocalyptic world where a virus has turned most humans into monsters. The game supports four-player co-operative play and includes additional free DLC.

Joining Dying Light 2 is Signalis, a survival horror hidden gem with an Overwhelmingly Positive rating on Steam. This futuristic horror game challenges players to solve puzzles and defeat monsters in a style inspired by classic horror titles.

These games replace the current line-up of Modern Warfare 3, For the King 2, and Crosscode. Additionally, a Marvel Tokon Fighting Souls content pack will be available to subscribers when the game launches on August 6.
