PlayStation Plus subscribers are anticipating the official announcement of the Essentials line-up for April 2026, scheduled for 4:30pm BST on 1 April. The games will become available for download on 7 April. However, two titles appear to have leaked ahead of time.
According to trusted leaker billbil-kun on Dealabs, the dark-fantasy Soulslike Lords of the Fallen will join the line-up on 7 April. A second game, Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream, also appears to have leaked. The multiplayer action game, based on the popular Japanese series, features 21 characters with unique roles, a single-player campaign, co-op multiplayer, and boss raid mode.
While Lords of the Fallen has received Mostly Positive reviews on Steam, subscriber reaction to the leaked line-up has been mixed. One subscriber described it as 'another mediocre month', while another argued the service 'keeps getting worse'. Sword Art Online: Fractured Daydream holds a Mixed rating on Steam, with criticism over grinding and repetitive gameplay.
At least one more game is expected to be announced for April 2026, which may also leak before the official reveal.
