Campus, a new LGBTQ+ nightclub from GBar owner Amy Gwynn, will launch in Liverpool city centre this weekend. The venue replaces OMG on Victoria Street in the Pride Quarter and opens on Saturday, July 25, during Liverpool Pride weekend.
House-party concept
The nightclub is designed around a house-party-inspired concept with the motto "You belong here", focusing on inclusivity and individuality. Amy Gwynn said the venue complements her long-established GBar rather than competing with it.
Campus spans two floors. The ground floor, called The Kitchen, serves as the main dancefloor with pop hits, nostalgic classics and party anthems. Upstairs, The Living Room offers a more relaxed setting for drinks, conversations and singalongs.
University theme
The campus theme includes playful nods to university life. Guests are encouraged to "enrol", while drag performers act as "professors" in a setting where traditional academic rules do not apply. Many of OMG's resident drag queens will continue to perform, joined by resident DJs and themed events.
Amy Gwynn has also taken over neighbouring venue Dorothy's Showbar, which will operate separately from Campus. No further plans have been announced for that venue.
