Meduza and Bob Sinclar will headline the 10th edition of SXM Festival, returning to the Caribbean island of St. Martin from March 17-21, 2027. The five-day event has announced its first wave of artists, with the chart-topping DJ duo and French house icon joined by progressive house pioneer Sasha, Claptone, Guy Gerber, Dombresky (Disco Dom) and Franky Rizardo.
First wave of artists revealed
The Phase One lineup also includes Patrick Topping, Dennis Cruz, Chelina Manuhutu, Deer Jade, Matt Sassari, Max Styler, Brunello and more, with additional names still to be announced. Since launching in 2016, the festival has built its reputation on turning the entire island into a dancefloor rather than confining revellers to a single site.
Festival-goers can spend five days hopping between beaches, villas, clubs, hilltops and unexpected locations across both the French and Dutch sides of St. Martin. One minute you could be dancing on a beach, the next watching the sunset from a hilltop before heading somewhere completely different for the evening, with that sense of discovery a key part of what makes SXM different.
Festival's history and community ties
The festival has previously welcomed some of the biggest names in electronic music, including Carl Cox, Jamie Jones, BLOND:ISH, Bonobo and Richie Hawtin, while also championing emerging artists. Founder Julian Prince said: “From the beginning, I never wanted SXM to be the biggest festival. I wanted people to go home with stories they would still be telling years later.
“You come for the music, but then the island takes over. You discover places you didn’t know existed, meet people you never expected to meet, and suddenly you’re watching the sun come up with friends you made two days ago. Ten editions later, that feeling is still there. Protecting it is what matters most to me.”
The relationship between the festival and St. Martin goes deeper than providing a backdrop. When Hurricane Irma devastated the island in 2017, the SXM community rallied behind local recovery efforts. The festival also paused during the pandemic but continued to return, with local crews, restaurants, hotels, venues, drivers, suppliers and businesses remaining an important part of the event.
What to expect for the 10th edition
Guests from more than 58 countries have attended recent editions, creating an international crowd that gradually becomes its own community over the five days. While there is plenty on the official schedule, SXM encourages exploration rather than rushing from one set to the next. A day could begin with music on the beach, turn into lunch in a local village, continue with a sunset party and end at an entirely unexpected location.
As SXM celebrates its 10th edition, organisers are promising to stick to the formula that made the festival distinctive: big music, beautiful locations and freedom to see where the island takes you. With more artists, parties and anniversary experiences still to be revealed, March 2027 is shaping up to be a spectacular birthday bash.
