Express columnist Leo McKinstry, who says he suffers from an allergy to rock music, has found himself in rare agreement with Oasis frontman Liam Gallagher over the price of tickets for the band's 42-date European tour next year.
Gallagher told one fan to "stop moaning" and said to another, who had complained about "the extortionate" costs of resold tickets, "Don't f***ing buy them. SIMPLE."
Free market in action
McKinstry writes that behind the profanity is a recognition of the free market in action. He argues Oasis is a commercial enterprise, not a branch of Lancashire Social Services.
The columnist's comments come in a wider opinion piece touching on immigration, Strictly Come Dancing, and a historic naval fortification in Gosport.

McKinstry also criticises Home Secretary Shabana Mahmood's immigration record, saying the shine is coming off her reputation. He points to the collapse of the deal signed with France last year to take back illegal migrants and what he calls her "depressing surrender" in her conference speech.
He defends comedian Josh Widdicombe, the new Strictly Come Dancing host, against online abuse, comparing the hostility to the "two-minute hate sessions" in George Orwell's novel 1984.
Finally, he highlights Labour Government plans to convert Fort Blockhouse in Gosport into a migrant processing centre, calling it a symbol of the collapse in nationhood.
