Arcade Arena Manchester, the city's immersive gaming destination, has expanded its venue just in time for the summer holidays. The expansion includes a brand-new mezzanine floor, allowing its two main attractions, Chaos Karts and Pac-Man Live, to operate simultaneously instead of alternating on the same floor. This change increases availability and enhances the guest experience.
Chaos Karts: Real-Life Mario Kart Experience
Chaos Karts combines real-life racing with augmented reality, making players feel as if they are inside a game of Mario Kart. Each player sits in their own kart and races around tracks projected onto the floor, with landscapes on surrounding walls. Players use dashboard buttons to fire forwards or backwards, dodging virtual obstacles like splattered eggs. Drivers must be at least 11 years old and 5 feet tall (1.5 meters). Tickets are £18.50 for ages 11-15 and £21 for ages 16 and up. Non-playing guests can book a free companion ticket online.
Pac-Man Live: Full-Scale Arcade Recreation
The Pac-Man Live Experience is a full-scale recreation of the classic arcade game. Players take on the identity of Pac-Man and are chased by ghosts Blinky, Pinky, Inky, and Clyde. A 'Pac Master' oversees the game, with two teams of eight competing on opposite sides of the room. The goal is to collect power pellets and fruit while avoiding ghosts. The experience is suitable for ages 8 and up and is physical, requiring participants to be on their feet. Tickets are £22.50 for ages 8-15 and £27 for ages 16 and up. Family tickets and multi-play tickets for both games are also available.
Expansion Details and Summer Discounts
According to Arcade Arena Manchester, the venue now features 'enhanced gaming areas, improved guest spaces and an even more immersive atmosphere'. Tickets have been reduced by up to 27% for the summer holidays, launching just in time for the school break. The expansion ensures more space for playing and more daily availability for each game.
