Liam Gallagher has said more support acts will be joining Oasis on their tour next year. The announcement came in a social media post on September 26, following fan speculation about ticket prices for the 2027 shows.
Oasis will play 42 dates across the UK, Ireland, Europe and the US between May and September next year. The tour kicks off at Glasgow's Celtic Park on May 21, and also includes 11 dates at the Etihad Stadium in Manchester and six at Knebworth.
Richard Ashcroft confirmed as support
At the time of the tour announcement earlier this month, Liam and Noel Gallagher said they would be joined on all 42 of the 2027 dates by former The Verve frontman Richard Ashcroft. He also supported Oasis during the UK leg of their 2025 comeback tour.
But at the time, only Richard was confirmed for the 2027 shows, with no other mention of additional artists joining in support duties, despite fans predicting more names would later be revealed.
Ticket price debate
Liam's comments came after a fan defended the prices of tickets for next year's set of shows. According to Ticketmaster, standard tickets for the UK shows are priced between £71.50 and £266.60.
One fan wrote: "When you deep the prices for oasis I don't think £170 for that isn't too bad. It's £70 to see Ashcroft alone Throw in another support say marr or blossoms that's £40-60. Then oasis probably for the final time. Dont think that's *Too* bad."
Replying to the post, Liam said 'HALLA ****ING LULU', before adding: "There's quite a few more support acts to be announced but we don't care about that though coz OASIS are greedy ***** ****ing *****."
Fan speculation and ticket ballot
In response to his post, fans immediately began to speculate over who could be joining them on tour, with some suggestions including the likes of The Prodigy, Johnny Marr, Kneecap and more.
Making light of his comments, one person said: "leak the support acts to us we can be trusted and won't tell anybody." Another joked: "I'll be happy to join the tour with my kazoo."
Oasis fans are trying to buy tickets to the 2027 tour this weekend after a strict ballot system was put in place to try and ensure a smooth sale process. Fans had to register before this weekend's sale, and those successfully through have received a code that will allow them to enter one of nine allocated sale windows for the UK dates.
Earlier today, Liam also confirmed that the 2027 tour would feature a few 'substitutes' in terms of songs that didn't make it onto the set-list for the comeback tour last year, as he compared next year's show to the second half of a football match.
