Kaleb Cooper, the farming contractor known for his role on Clarkson's Farm, is set to star in his own Prime Video spin-off series titled Kaleb: Down Under. The four-part series will follow Cooper as he takes his first-ever flight to Australia, one of the world's biggest farming markets, in an attempt to expand his business internationally.
Cooper Ventures Beyond Chipping Norton
Cooper, who has described his attachment to Chipping Norton as a "borderline unhealthy obsession," embarks on a solo trip to Australia, where he will meet local farmers and immerse himself in the culture, exploring how they operate in a challenging environment.
Speaking at the Edinburgh TV Festival, Fazia Khan, Head of Unscripted UK Originals at Amazon MGM Studios, said the series shows Cooper out of his comfort zone. "He's one of the stars of Clarkson's Farm," Khan said. "He's a young farmer, his fan base has grown and he really resonates with our audiences."
First Flight and Entrepreneurial Leap
Khan noted that Cooper, who rarely leaves Chipping Norton, has "gone entrepreneurial" with the idea of exploring farming in Australia. "We'll see him taking his first flight, which is to Australia," she said. "He is the expert on Clarkson's Farm, he's the one telling Jeremy off but we'll see him out of his comfort zone doing something he's never done before."
Cooper said in a statement: "I spend most of my time with the most travelled man in the world, so I got brave and booked my first ever flight to see what all the fuss was about. Australia here I come!" He added, "Australia, you'll be gaining a new farmer for a couple of months as I discover if I can make my farming contracting business go international."
Rise to Fame on Clarkson's Farm
Cooper rose to public prominence in 2021 when he appeared in the first series of Clarkson's Farm as an experienced farm hand helping novice farmer Jeremy Clarkson. He had previously worked on the farm when it was managed by Howard Pauling. On the last day of his short-term contract, a show director asked Cooper to go to the office to meet Clarkson.
The series is scheduled to launch early next year on Prime Video.
