An outdoor event billed as the 'ultimate' Jurassic Park cinema experience is heading to the North East this summer. The screening will take over Herrington Country Park in Sunderland, the same location that hosted Radio 1's Big Weekend earlier this year.
33 Years Since Jurassic Park's Release
It has been 33 years since the original Jurassic Park was released, becoming one of the biggest box office hits of the 1990s. The film, starring Jeff Goldblum, Richard Attenborough, and the late Sam Neill, follows a team of archaeologists stranded on an island theme park where dinosaurs have escaped after a power failure.
Event Details
The Jurassic Park Outdoor Cinema Experience, hosted by Adventure Cinema, will take place on Sunday, August 9, at Herrington Park opposite Penshaw Monument. Themed music will play before the screening begins at 8pm. Tickets start at £10.92 and are available on Eventbrite. Attendees are invited to bring picnics, blankets, or camping chairs to watch the film on a giant screen under the stars.
