Johnny Vegas Shares Rare Insight into Relationship with Girlfriend Vikki

Johnny Vegas has opened up about his relationship with his girlfriend, Vikki, offering a rare glimpse into their private romance. The comedian, 54, revealed that he and Vikki, an art gallery owner, now work together at his antique shop in Cheshire, allowing them to spend more quality time together. The couple has been dating for three years.

Working Together at the Antique Shop

The pair's collaboration is featured on the Quest show Johnny Vegas' Little Shop Of Antiques. Despite initial fears about mixing business with pleasure, Johnny admitted it has been going well. He said: "They say never work with your partner, but it's great. She and Bev make fun of me most of the time." Beverly 'Bev' Dixon is his assistant on the show.

Previous Marriages and Fatherhood

Johnny was previously married to Kitty Donnelly from 2002 to 2008, with whom he shares a son, Michael, 23. He then married Maia Dunphy in 2011, and they have a son, Tom, 11, before divorcing in 2020. Reflecting on fatherhood, Johnny credited his older son for helping him turn his life around, as he used to go on "four-day benders." He told The Times: "When you have a child, it's suddenly that feeling of, 'I need to be around now, and I want to be around,' it's not about you and in a great way that pulls you back from the abyss."

Stepping Back from Stand-Up Comedy

Johnny explained that the decision to focus on his antique business came after stand-up comedy "took its toll." He reflected: "Stand-up was great, but it was manic. The nerves took their toll. Never say never, but I just see that as a project that needs to rest."

Privacy and Social Media

Although their relationship is private, Johnny said he didn't intentionally keep his girlfriend out of the spotlight. In an interview with The Times, he added: "I wasn't keeping it under cover, but I don't share much about it on social media."

The Antiques Venture

His business, Vintage Vegas, started as a pop-up shop at Dagfields Craft and Antique Centre near Nantwich, Cheshire. It inspired an eight-part TV series where Johnny and Bev hunt for unusual treasures. Describing his business, Johnny said: "Collectable things of all sorts, really. I have a very dangerous bit of knowledge on lots of things. I couldn't tell you about 18th-century furniture or anything, but I have to think I like it and hopefully I have an eye for this stuff."
