ITV Tipping Point Renewed for New Series, Great News

The future of Ben Shephard's popular ITV programme has reportedly been confirmed. Game show Tipping Point, which the This Morning star has been presenting for more than a decade, has been renewed for additional series, according to TVZone. Ben is understood to be heading back to the studio later this year to film new episodes of the much-loved programme.

A post on the show's official website revealed that producers are currently on the lookout for contestants for forthcoming editions of the show, which sees hopefuls tackle trivia questions to earn plastic counters, which they then drop into arcade-style coin pusher machines in a bid to scoop big prizes.

"If you fancy taking on TV's most talked about machine, we'd love to hear from you," the message said. "Closing date for applications is midnight on Friday 21st August 2026 (but auditions will start soon so please don't delay)." ITV has been approached for comment.

This Morning presenter Ben has been at the helm of the game show since 2012, and also hosts celebrity specials on Tipping Point: Lucky Stars, which launched a year later in 2013, reports the Mirror. The quiz show has featured numerous special editions over the years, including a run of festive and Soccer Aid instalments, alongside a spin-off entitled Tipping Point: Best Ever Finals, which brings together some of the most memorable moments from across the series.

Ben has previously spoken about his admiration for the contestants who tackle the game, telling the Mirror: "These people are under pressure in an environment and their minds go blank and they can't think of anything and the words don't make sense. And I just have so much admiration for all of them."

"There have been some amazing answers but to be fair to all those people that come in, they are incredibly brave to take on the machine," he continued. Ben's other major ITV commitment is This Morning, where he first appeared in 2005 as one of the guest presenters. In 2024, the 51-year-old became one of the programme's lead hosts, and he now presents the popular daytime show several days a week alongside Cat Deeley. Tipping Point and This Morning air on ITV.
