The DroneArt Show: Harry Potter, a new outdoor event combining illuminations, live music and dialogue from the films, is coming to Newcastle Racecourse during its international tour. Described as a first-of-its-kind open-air drone spectacle, the show features 1,200 synchronized drones capturing scenes and characters from the film franchise based on JK Rowling's books.

Show details and schedule

The event takes place at Newcastle Racecourse from August 22-23, with evening performances starting at 8.45pm. The hour-long show includes an interval and features an electric violinist playing key moments from the film soundtrack live. Doors open at 6.45pm, with themed merchandise such as scarves and wands on sale alongside food and drink, including butterbeer in some locations. Spectators will receive LED wristbands to wear.

Ticket information

Ticket prices start at £24.50 for adults and £17.50 for children for standing options on the Friday. Grandstand and deluxe seating are available, along with fast-track entry and parking options. Under-threes can attend for free. Summer VAT reductions apply to some tickets.
