Glastonbury fans fume over new ticketing system as 2027 tickets go on sale
Glastonbury fans fume over new ticketing system for 2027

Glastonbury Festival fans have been left fuming by the new ticketing system as they attempted to secure tickets for next year's event. The iconic music festival is set to take place on Worthy Farm from Wednesday 23rd June to Sunday 27th June 2027, with the first tickets going on sale this evening.

Angry fans took to social media to vent their frustration over the change to ticketing, which follows a similar system to recently released Oasis tickets. In a note on their website, festival organisers urged fans to take steps to avoid missing out.

Organisers' advice to fans

"Please don't use actions that might obscure or hide your IP address (such as Proxies or VPNs) or ad blockers or privacy tools and plugins which can interfere with our bot protection," they wrote. "Clear your cookies, and make sure your device and browser are up to date. When the ticket + coach sale begins at 6pm everyone who is already on the glastonbury.seetickets.com page will randomly be assigned a place in a queue to access the booking process."

They added: "If you log on once the sale has started you will automatically be added to the back of the queue, so please be ready online at glastonbury.seetickets.com at least 10 minutes before the sale is due to open at 6pm."

Fans report queue problems

"Once you are in the queue, a progress bar will indicate how close you are to reaching the booking page. Please do not refresh the queue page or use multiple devices or tabs as you may lose your place in the queue," the organisers said.

However, fans have been struggling to secure tickets and have been left fuming over the new system. One wrote: "TRAPPED at the abysmal two green bars... #glastonbury," whilst a second added: "I swear to god that bar moved backwards…. #Glastonbury." A third wrote: "No way did my 3 bars just fall back down to 2... #glastonbury."
