Gameshow fans have exciting news as a brand-new celebrity series is set to arrive on ITV screens soon. Hosted by Gary Lineker, The Box will feature 10 famous faces taken to an undisclosed location where they must tackle a challenge.
What Is The Box?
The contestants won't discover what awaits them until the doors open. It could be physical, mental, logical, amusing, intimidating, or a combination. A synopsis states: "With minimal or no instruction, they must decipher and work out what to do. At the end of each episode, two players will battle it out in The Duel, a high-stakes head-to-head game to avoid elimination." The show promises shocking reveals, mind-bending puzzles, and plenty of twists.
Celebrity Lineup
A teaser trailer featured a montage of participating celebrities, including The One Show's JB Gill and The Chase's Jenny Ryan, all looking visibly anxious. Dragons' Den star Sara Davies remarked: "This is a bit terrifying, isn't it?" Gary Lineker then appeared, declaring: "They're scared." The clip showed various settings with distinctive yellow boxes before doors burst open and contestants dashed outside. Gary added: "You can forget World Cup penalty shootouts, this is way tenser."
The trailer concluded with Joey Essex exclaiming: "Oh, my god. Where am I?", as the camera revealed Brighton i360, suggesting he was at the top. The caption read: "They won't know what awaits them until the doors open... and by then, it's too late to turn back. Gary Lineker hosts The Box, coming soon to ITV."
