Witcher 3 Remastered excitement
One reader, writing under the name Cold light of day, shares their excitement about playing the remaster this week: "I think I’ll start a new save from scratch and try and experience the whole thing from beginning to end. I haven’t done that since it first came out." They hope they are not remembering it "through rose-tinted glasses" because in their mind it is one of the best games they have ever played, adding that they did not realise it had sold as much as Skyrim.
Another reader, Customer loyalty, says they cannot wait for the remaster update and believes CD Projekt Red are doing "a great thing" that will benefit them in terms of new buyers and existing fans purchasing the new expansion. They argue that "by being generous you often make more money than if you tried to cut corners," citing publishers like EA who are avoided due to microtransactions, while CD Projekt Red recovered from Cyberpunk 2077's launch disaster and was forgiven. They conclude: "You earn people’s loyalty with not just good games but good customer support and good communication," a lesson they feel Sony and Microsoft have forgotten.
Pokémon Winds and Waves concerns
A reader named Tamol expresses hope that Pokémon Winds and Waves will be a "milestone sequel" like Zelda: Breath Of The Wild, but worries it has not had enough development time. They note it has not even been four years since Scarlet and Violet, and that does not include DLC work, making them fear another "rush job."
In other letters, Michael Veal comments on the pixel art style in Keep Driving, while GC clarifies that roguelite means retaining some elements between runs, unlike roguelike where you lose everything.
Other reader letters
Andrew J. asks if GameCentral could review Forgotlings, a prequel to Forgotton Anne, which he backed on Kickstarter. GC responds that they have not heard from the publisher but will try.
A reader known as big boy bent asks if more EA Sports FC 27 Ultimate Editions will come in stock for Christmas, as they have sold out. GC says they would not know but imagines so since it makes a good Christmas present.
Cranston wonders if there will be another Nintendo Direct before Christmas, speculating on The Duskbloods and The Game Awards. GC responds: "Who knows with Nintendo, but we wouldn’t say it was expected. There’re certainly no rumours about one."
