Epic Games has confirmed that Fortnite's Chapter 7, Season 3, titled 'Runners', will launch following the end-of-season live event 'Shattered'. Downtime begins immediately after the event concludes and is expected to last over five hours, with the new season likely available on the morning of June 6.
The Shattered event features the final showdown between the Ice King and The Foundation. For UK fans, doors open at 11:20 PM BST on June 5, with the event starting at midnight BST on June 6. US players can join at 4 PM PT / 7 PM ET on June 5, while European players start at 1 AM CET on June 6. Epic advises logging in 40 minutes early to avoid queues.
All game modes, including Battle Royale, Reload, Fortnite OG, Blitz Royale, and Save The World, will be temporarily disabled during the event. Players attending the event can earn rewards: the Chaos Cutlasses Pickaxe for solo attendance, and the Bark Voyager Sidekick for playing with friends. Rewards will appear in lockers after the new season goes live.
The Season 3 Battle Pass includes skins such as Heatwave PJ, Cluster, Dylan, The Guardian, John Wick (pen and ink), The Voidblade, Vanguard Slone, and Wolfe. Players can build their Guardian Mech with sprites, parts, and colours, and enjoy launch week bonuses like Gold Huntress Dyland and the Marbled Speedboat. Other rewards include John Wick's dog as a Sidekick, the Gunglider, and Dark Cubic Sneakers.
A Season 3 trailer is expected during the Summer Games Fest event on June 5.
