With the next Fortnite season almost upon us, Epic Games has teased a glimpse of what's to come in the Chapter 7 Season 3 Runners Battle Pass. The new season introduces eight new skins, including the customisable Guardian, which features a Sprite pilot and allows for modifications such as different colours and parts.
Sprites are set to play a more prominent role in shaping the game's meta. New Sprite types are confirmed, and they may work in tandem with weapons and items—for example, a Fire Sprite causing a Chaos Reloader Assault Rifle to trigger an explosion. The mech suit can use different Sprites as pilots, potentially affecting abilities.
New points of interest include a tropical locale replacing the old Dark Dominion POI, centred around the Zero Point, and a Duck Mansion POI alongside the Duck Head skin. New weapons include the Chaos Reloader Assault Rifle and the Triple-Barreled Shotgun.
As a launch week bonus, players can unlock Gold Huntress Dylan, which comes with a Marbled Speedboat, Venomous Chainsaw, and Gilded Cherub Holster. John Wick also receives new items: the Gunglider, Dark Cubic Sneakers, Blade of the Void, and his Dog.
The Runners battle pass will cost 800 V-Bucks when it goes live. The season follows the upcoming Shattered live event.
