Fortnite developer Epic Games has announced details for update 41.30, which brings back The Simpsons and Spider-Man crossovers. The update launches on July 30 for PlayStation, Xbox, Nintendo Switch, PC and mobile.
Downtime and release schedule
Servers will go offline at 9am BST on July 30 for maintenance. According to the Fortnite server status page, downtime will last 90 minutes, meaning the game should return at 10:30am BST in the UK. In the US, that is 2:30am PT / 5:30am ET, and in Europe at 11:30am CET. Players must download and install the update to access new content.
Simpsons Reload content
The Springfield map returns with quality-of-life upgrades, including re-looting chests, a new Tactical Assault Rifle, and a John Wick Sprite. Simpsons-themed loot includes the Super Squishee, Cobalt Slingshot, Mr. Blasty, Deodorant Applicator, Five-Gun, Blinky Fish, Krusty Burger, and Cartoon Chainsaw.
Spider-Man collaboration
Coinciding with the release of Spider-Man: Brand New Day, the update adds multiple Spider-Man skins, unlimited web shooters in non-competitive play, and increased Spider-Man Chests. A Spider-Man Power Hour event on July 31 will feature cube Sprites and more. Epic Games announced on X: “Swing into action with Spider-Man’s Web Shooters in non-competitive play, track down new Sprites and variants, unlock new Sprite Mastery rewards and more! Downtime for v41.30 begins at 4 AM ET (8 AM UTC) with matchmaking ending shortly beforehand.”
Additional updates
Fortnite Festival Season 15 also launches this week, adding Lil Tecca to the game.
