EA Sports FC 27 will launch on September 25 for PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch 2, and PC, with early access from September 18 for those purchasing the Ultimate Edition (£99.99) or the new Ultimate Plus Edition (£139.99).
New social mode: The Grounds
The trailer highlights a new 'social football playground' called The Grounds, described as 'expanding the Clubs experience with casual, fast-paced kickabouts to top-tier competition.' Players can develop and customise their own avatar while receiving guidance from famous footballers including Kylian Mbappé, Chloe Kelly, Paulo Dybala, and the fictional Alex Hunter, who returns for the first time since FIFA 20.
Ultimate Plus Edition and pre-order details
The Ultimate Plus Edition includes extra FC Points and Premium Passes, and is available for pre-order only until August 31. After that, only the standard and Ultimate Editions remain on sale.
EA also promises a rebuilt career transfer market where 'player values are influenced by club buying power, player potential, ratings, and form to deliver greater realism,' along with a Football Ultimate Team Gallery for curating dream teams of past and present players.
Community-driven gameplay improvements
Gameplay tweaks are described as 'community driven,' with examples including 'dynamic corners, stronger attacking awareness, and rebalanced AI defending.'
Jude Bellingham appears on the Ultimate Edition cover alongside Mbappé, marking his third consecutive cover appearance. 'Every time I've had the chance to be part of EA Sports FC, it's been a special moment, and coming back for a third cover alongside Kylian is no different,' said Bellingham. 'I'm looking forward to fans getting stuck into FC 27, experiencing everything the game has to offer, and creating plenty of new memories along the way.'
