EA Sports FC 27 is set to be released on September 25, 2026, according to a leak from French tech news outlet Dealabs Magazine. The report, by investigator bilbil-kun, claims the game will arrive in the same window as previous years. Indeed, the EA Sports football game—including its previous incarnation as FIFA—has launched in the final week of September every year for the past 16 years, except on three occasions when it released in early October.
Early Access and Pricing Details
Dealabs reports that early access will be available for those who buy the Ultimate Edition, likely granting a week of gaming before the main launch from September 18, 2026. EA Play subscribers will also get early access via a 10-hour trial, which is included with Xbox Game Pass subscriptions.
The game is priced at €69.99 on PC and Nintendo Switch 2, or €79.99 for PlayStation and Xbox users. This translates to approximately £59.51 for PC and Switch 2, and £68 for other consoles, though UK prices are expected to be £59.99 and £69.99 respectively. Unlike Grand Theft Auto 6, EA Sports FC 27 will be available as a physical disc for console owners.
Last-Gen Console Support
In a surprising move, bilbil-kun claims that EA Sports FC 27 will remain available on last-gen machines, including PS4, Xbox One, and the original Nintendo Switch. This comes despite rumours of an open world mode, rumoured to be named 'The Grounds', which may be exclusive to new-gen consoles if EA Sports follows 2K's lead.
EA Sports FC 26 sold more than 10 million copies in its first two weeks and was the best-selling videogame in 16 out of 17 European countries in 2025. The full reveal for FC 27 is expected this week, according to Dealabs and other prominent leakers.
