EA Sports FC 27 will launch on September 25, with early access from September 18 for those who pre-order the Ultimate or Ultimate Plus editions. The game is available on PlayStation 4, PlayStation 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S, Nintendo Switch, and PC. However, the new 'The Grounds' mode is exclusive to PS5, Xbox Series X/S, Switch 2, and PC.
Release date and early access
Officially launching September 25, EA Sports FC 27 offers early access starting September 18 for Ultimate and Ultimate Plus edition purchasers. Dual entitlement is available on PlayStation and Xbox, meaning buyers of current-gen versions also receive last-gen copies and vice versa.
Editions and pricing
Three editions are available. The Standard Edition costs £69.99 on consoles and £59.99 on PC, including pre-order bonuses for Career and Grounds modes plus a 92+ OVR ICON Player Item for EA Sports FC 26. The Ultimate Edition costs £99.99 on consoles and £89.99 on PC, adding seven-day early access, a Premium Pass for Season 1, up to 6,000 FC Points across three monthly drops, and more. Pre-ordering the Ultimate Edition before September 1 also yields a 93+ OVR ICON Player Pick for FC26.
The new Ultimate Plus Edition costs £139.99 on consoles and £129.99 on PC, including everything from the Ultimate Edition plus Premium Passes for Seasons 1-5, up to 10,000 FC Points across five monthly drops, a Hall of FUT Direct Player Pick (featuring Adebayo Akinfenwa, Giovani dos Santos, Loic Remy, Marouane Fellaini, and Eljero Ellia), and a 99 PHY Stat Evolution for FC26. This edition is available only until August 31.
Where to pre-order
Retailers including Smyths, GAME, Very, and Sports Direct offer the Standard Edition at a £5 discount, bringing it to £64.99. Switch 2 and Switch 1 versions are also discounted to £54.99 and £49.99 respectively. Ultimate and Ultimate Plus editions are digital-only and sold at full price.
Beta test
While EA has not formally announced a beta, a closed beta is expected, possibly running from August 5 to August 25 based on last year's schedule. Registration via EA Playtesting is required for an invite.
