EA Sports has deployed a new update for EA FC 26, fixing a frustrating bug that caused players of its most popular mode to be kicked from the game. EA Sports FC 26 update 1.6.4 is now live across all platforms, addressing a number of annoying issues with the world's leading football game.
Ultimate Team Crash Bug Fixed
Ultimate Team players could find themselves booted out of the mode when using the 'swap duplicated items' feature on Stadium Items, which triggered a disconnect. Thanks to this new update released yesterday (Monday, July 13), that problem is no more. According to EA Sports, the patch resolves the disconnect issue that occurred with the Swap Duplicated Items function for Stadium Items.
Other issues that have caused problems for FUT players include a bug with the New Releases screen and an issue that meant overlays were not showing player item images. The update also ensures that players are now brought back to the New Releases screen after viewing the Store, SBC, or Objectives from New Releases.
Career Mode and General Fixes
On top of that, one particular issue with Career Mode meant a lack of immersion for players taking their nation through the International Men's Tournament (the EA FC 26 version of the World Cup). National Anthems were not being played in the International Men's Tournament, but this has now been fixed. EA Sports also addressed a stability issue that could have occurred and corrected a problem where some RTX 3050 cards were loading incorrect graphics recommendations by default. Additionally, the update includes updated crests, text, hair, headshots, tattoos, and kits.
