Daily Star's Carly and Bekka finally saw David Guetta live for the first time after more than two decades as fans, at the [UNVRS] venue in Ibiza during its Galactic Circus event on Friday, September 25. The set did not disappoint, delivering a mix of his biggest bangers and newer sounds.
Before the main event, the duo explored [UNVRS] itself. The venue feels like stepping into another world, with huge, futuristic and completely over-the-top spaces, impressive production and plenty going on wherever you look.
Starting in the Bunker Room
The night began in the Bunker Room, where Discoliscious was on support duties. The room had a different feel to the main space, with a more intimate, underground atmosphere that got the night off to a perfect start. The high-energy disco tunes were brilliant, the crowd loved it, and before long they were dancing away.
Then it was time to head into the main room for David. The whole place erupted as he took to the decks, with huge beats, massive drops and an incredible production setup making the entire room feel like one enormous party.
Hearing the Hits Live
After more than 20 years of listening to his music, hearing famous tracks blasted out in Ibiza was a pinch-me moment. The set included Sexy B****, Titanium and I'm Good (Blue), among plenty more. David also honoured his epic back catalogue while showcasing newer sounds, with his remix of Britney Spears' Scream & Shout another huge highlight.
The production at [UNVRS] took everything up another notch. Every huge drop came with another burst of lights, visuals or pyrotechnics, making the whole thing feel like a full-scale show rather than simply a DJ set.
Wanting to See More
One night at [UNVRS] left them wanting to see much more of the venue. Alongside the Main Room and Bunker, there's plenty more to discover across the huge complex, including the Club Room, Wild Comet and the impressive outdoor areas. They barely scratched the surface, which is their biggest excuse to come back.
David Guetta delivered exactly the kind of huge, feel-good set they had hoped for, honouring the tracks that made them fans while keeping the night fresh. By the end, they were sweaty, shattered and grinning from ear to ear. After waiting more than 20 years, they're very glad their first time happened at [UNVRS], and they can't wait to return and see what other surprises are hiding behind its doors.
