Coronation Street returns to screens on Sunday July 26 after a period of schedule disruption caused by coverage of the 2026 FIFA World Cup. The usual Monday-to-Friday pattern resumed this week, but the next episode airs on a rare Sunday at 8:30pm on ITV and from 7am on ITVX and YouTube.
Schedule Changes and Soap Power Hour
The ITV soap has been airing half-hour episodes each weeknight since January, when a new 'soap power hour' was introduced. The network said at the time that the change was because 'viewing habits continue to change'. Coronation Street airs at 8:30pm, following Emmerdale at 8pm.
