Sam's Breakdown Brings Fresh Heartbreak for Nick
Nick reels in shock as he waits for news about his son. He turns on Ben and Eva, blaming Megan's court case for Sam's problems. Eva assures Ben that they don't need Sam's help and that Will will handle it alone. Nick is horrified to understand Sam's suffering and lashes out at Ben for not spotting Megan's crimes sooner. Later, Sam tells Nick he'd like to see Roy.
Maria's Suspicions Intensify
Maria spots Gary and Sarah sharing a hug. As Gary insists they delete all messages, Maria watches suspiciously. Can she find proof of an affair? Maria opens up to Fiz and Izzy. Todd tells Sarah that Maria suspects her. Will Sarah come clean? A somber Maria tells Gary they need to talk. Gary suggests a curry later. He then reveals a surprise holiday for the family, but Maria remains suspicious, confiding in Izzy that she thinks Gary is cheating.
Carl's Dirty Work
A bitter Kevin tells Carl he received a letter from another garage requesting a reference and refuses. Carl takes a call from Fiona offering dodgy work. As Kevin watches a video of Ruby on Tyrone's phone, he inadvertently sees Carl sabotaging his car brakes. Kevin confronts Carl, and Tyrone and Ronnie rush over. Kevin is furious to learn they knew about Carl's crimes. Ronnie suggests burying the hatchet for Debbie's sake, but Kevin refuses and advances with a wrench. Carl pulls out a gun. Kevin, thinking it's fake, aims it at Carl. As Ronnie tries to wrestle it away, the gun goes off. Has anyone been shot?
Kit's Next Steps
Kit confides in Bethany that he's thinking of proposing to Sarah. When Harry admits he likes having Kit around, Kit assures him the feeling is mutual. Later, Kit admires the engagement ring he bought for Sarah.
Betsy Is Off to London
Betsy tells Lauren she's been offered a place at the London College of Fashion but worries about leaving Dylan. She hasn't told her mum yet. Betsy shares the news with Lisa and Carla; Carla is delighted, but will Lisa share her enthusiasm?
