The revelation comes after Monday's episode (June 22) appeared to confirm Sarah Platt as the killer, but sharp-eyed viewers spotted a possible clue that suggests the case is far from closed.
Kit Green's cryptic comment sparks theories
During a tense dinner party at Sarah's flat, Kit asked Gary Windass to help him prepare food. When Gary requested a bottle opener, Kit replied: "It's a twist." Some fans interpreted this as a direct nod to the audience, suggesting that the true identity of Theo's murderer may not be as straightforward as it seems.
A Reddit user commented: "It felt like [Kit] was breaking the fourth wall, talking to us, telling us to expect a twist in the reveal. So, I waited for the twist. Even when Sarah was on the roof with Theo, I was thinking... there's got to be a twist coming."
