Fans stunned by hidden music career
One of his biggest hits is a track called Paid The Price and runs at just over two minutes, a track which has been played an impressive 301,927 times. Another tune titled Magalo has clocked up 231,820 streams.
He is also an online content creator, though his social media profiles seem to have been deactivated while he's locked away in the Big Brother house. He was posting content under various usernames that featured his rap alias, reports OK!.
Viewers react to the discovery
Plenty of Big Brother fans have been discussing Omar's musical background and many are stunned by the discovery. One gobsmacked viewer remarked: "I knew I recognised him!".
Another posted on Reddit: "Haven't seen anyone post this but Omar raps on the outside? The Instagram post has a couple clips and icl it's not my thing."
A third said: "I saw his tune going around on other socials and pressed on it to see if he was any good. It is auto-tuned to heck.
A fourth fan chimed in: "He talked about it in VT didn't he? I remember despairing that we're going to get a toe-curling sequence of him performing at some point."
Omar on applying to Big Brother
Before stepping into the Big Brother house, Omar opened up to ITV about his reasons for applying: "I applied to Big Brother for the opportunity, growth and experience. It's a big opportunity to be involved in a project like Big Brother - not everyone gets to do something like that so it's a pleasure that I've been selected."
He also revealed what he would do if he were to win the show's top prize: "I'd invest back into myself and my family. I'd like to put it towards some sort of venture that could help kickstart my dreams. I would also like to buy all the kids from my estate school shoes and give something back to my community."
