Battlefield 6 Season 4 Launches July 21 with Massive New Map
Electronic Arts is set to release Battlefield 6 Season 4 on July 21 across PS5, Xbox Series X|S, and PC, introducing the game's largest map yet—Tsuru Reef—alongside naval warfare mechanics. The update, designated version 1.4.1.0, brings a host of new content and improvements.
According to EA, the Season 4 content will go live at 12pm BST (4am PT / 7am ET / 1pm CET). Players can expect the Pacific Front theme, with Tsuru Reef offering a sprawling island chain featuring tropical vegetation, cliff edges, luxury bungalows, open ocean, and a dormant volcano.
Naval Warfare and New Vehicles
The standout feature of Tsuru Reef is the introduction of naval combat, adding chaos alongside land and air warfare. Two new boats are included: the 7.7M NSW RHIB and the RCB-90. A dynamic wave system will enhance water physics, with EA explaining: "Oceans create waves, boats can cause wakes, buoyant gadgets and underwater explosions become viable tactics, and bullets can only penetrate the surface as much as their caliber allows." Additionally, dragging and reviving will be possible in water, allowing squads to rescue shipwrecked allies.
REDSEC Season 4 Content
For REDSEC fans, Season 4 introduces a new assault rifle, a new carbine, and a new DMR, along with updates to Ranked mode. The next map, Wake Island, is scheduled for release on August 18, focusing further on naval warfare.
