EA has acknowledged ongoing problems with the second beta of Battlefield 6, with some players claiming it is even buggier than the first. The game is not due for release until October, but the first beta attracted more players than Call of Duty, creating positive first impressions.
However, the second beta, which includes a new map and gameplay modes, has been marred by reports of matchmaking issues, crashes, and problems with DLSS and DLAA. EA stated on the official Battlefield Reddit account that it is aware of matchmaking difficulties and is working towards a resolution as soon as possible.
Players have also reported losing health when switching classes and dying instantly without indication of being hit. EA advised users to ensure they have the latest client update or try the repair functionality through the EA app. The developer believes it has identified the cause of the DLSS and DLAA issues and expects a fix later today.
Despite the problems, player numbers on Steam remain strong, with roughly 367,000 concurrent players at the time of writing, down from over 500,000 during the first beta weekend. EA also noted that its new anti-cheat software has prevented at least 330,000 cheating attempts.
