Glamorous Breeze, an eight-year-old mare trained by Christopher Mason, has been selected as Newsboy's nap of the day for Monday's racing at Windsor. The horse runs in the Fitzdares Sprint Series Handicap at 7.17pm, aiming for her 11th career victory.
Consistent Performer at Windsor
Glamorous Breeze has been a consistently reliable performer throughout her career, hitting the frame in 34 of her 51 starts. That includes a recent outing at Goodwood in May, where she lost two places near the line in a five-furlong handicap. As that was her first run since September, she is entitled to come on for the outing under regular rider Gina Mangan.
Blakefell the Next Best at Musselburgh
At Musselburgh, previous course winner Blakefell is the next best selection for Newsboy. Trained by Ivan Furtado, the gelding got off the mark first time out in a seven-furlong maiden after promising efforts last year, including a second place over the same course. He couldn't follow up in a Doncaster handicap but now tries a mile and a furlong for the first time in the Stand In What You Stand For Handicap at 4.45pm. Given he seemed to get seven furlongs very well, the move could eke out more improvement.
