Creamfields 2026 has come to a close after welcoming thousands of dance music fans to Daresbury. The festival marked 20 years at its current Cheshire site, ahead of next year's celebrations for 30 years of Creamfields.
From Thursday, August 27 to Sunday, August 30, more than 80,000 people attended to see performances from some of the world's biggest DJs and dance music acts.
Headline sets and APEX takeover
Highlights across the four days included a headline performance from Scottish DJ Calvin Harris, the return of Faithless, and an early afternoon APEX tent takeover from Swedish House Mafia.
The festival was hit with rain and thunderstorms, with a yellow weather warning in place for parts of the event. This made the ground muddy in areas, but it did not deter attendees from enjoying the party atmosphere.
Attendees on the vibe
Heather Melly, 35, from Stoke-on-Trent, was at Creamfields for her fourth visit. Like many attendees, she enjoys the event for "the people".
She said: "I love the people, the vibe, everyone is just having a good time, and in great spirits. These are my people."
Speaking about the mud and rain, she added: "Bring on the rain, bring on the mud. We don't care, because we're here for a good time. You know what, it has not changed the atmosphere. The vibe is still amazing, we love it."
Couple Aimee McGrath, 31, and Karl Chambers, 36, from Preston, have also attended many times. Aimee said: "First time for a while in the rain or mud, this took us by surprise this year. We've always been so lucky."
Karl said: "The only other chance you're going to get to see these DJs is Ibiza in the summer, or you get to stay in England. It's the best of both worlds really."
Scaramouche's sixth performance
DJ duo Scaramouche, formed of Jack Meakin, 27, and Seb Donoghue, 39, performed at Creamfields for the sixth time this year. They opened the Steel Yard stage ahead of Tiësto headlining.
Jack told the ECHO: "We just love the Liverpool crowd. We love the Liverpool vibe."
