With Nothing Underneath, the British brand known for crisp white shirts and essential tailoring, has launched its first denim jeans. Three styles are available in three washes, all priced at £150 and inspired by denim icons Stevie Nicks, Farrah Fawcett and Cindy Crawford.
Three cuts for every silhouette
The Stevie is cropped and relaxed, the Crawford is more fitted and smart, and the Fawcett is wide-leg and laidback. Each pair is made from high-quality sustainable cotton designed to ensure longevity. Since its founding in 2017, the brand has represented the antithesis to trend cycles, with considered clothing combining inspirations from men's suiting and icons including Jane Birkin and Carolyn Bessette-Kennedy. Its staples are beloved by fashion editors and royalty alike.
Trying on the Crawford and Fawcett
The Crawford jeans were the favourite from the collection. Flattering thanks to the straight cut and high waistline, the silhouette is smart enough to dress up with shirts and heels, but comfortable for weekend attire. Made from 100 per cent organic cotton, they have the right amount of give around the waist without compromising on structure. Available in a vintage light wash or indigo, sizing up one is recommended for extra versatility. With an inseam of 32in, the Crawford jeans were the perfect ankle-skimming length for a 6ft frame, though taller wearers who prefer floor-sweeping hems might look elsewhere.
The Fawcett jeans, inspired by the seventies, come in mid-blue and off-white. Distinguished by a high waist and wide cut, the legs flare out near the floor. The high waistline pairs well with tucked-in shirts or cinched-in blazers, offering the same comfortable fit as the Crawford. Taller women might find the ankle-skimming length less forgiving, while more petite women will look effortlessly chic with the floor-hitting hem. Sizing up is advised for those between sizes, but sticking to the usual size works well as the jeans wear in nicely.
