Good Morning Britain weather presenter Laura Tobin wore a red sequinned halter-neck dress to the National Television Awards on Thursday evening. During Friday's episode of Lorraine, stand-in host Ranvir Singh jokingly called her a 'cow' after realising the meteorologist had recycled the garment.
Stylist Mark Heyes and Ranvir were discussing red-carpet looks on the ITV talk show. Mark said Laura looked great, and Ranvir noticed she had worn the same dress three years ago. 'An oldie but a goodie,' Ranvir added. Matt asked, 'And why wouldn't you reuse it?' as they admired photos of Laura.
'Absolutely, she hasn't put a pound on - the cow,' Ranvir quipped before the pair laughed. 'You wouldn't get me in anything from three years ago sadly. I love Laura - sometimes,' she joked. Mark added, 'When she's not in a red sequinned dress.'
The remark did not go unnoticed by viewers, who took to Twitter to comment. One user wrote: 'Can't believe (even if it was in jest) she called Laura Tobin a cow!' Another said: '@Lauratobin1, @ranvir01 didn't just call Laura a cow on tv because she got in the same dress from three years ago?' However, some praised Ranvir, with one viewer saying: 'We need more Ranvir on our screens.'
