Agents Giving is calling on estate and letting agents to take part in the Great British Property Cycle Challenge 2026, a nationwide fundraiser running throughout October. The charity wants 1,000 property professionals to clock up miles for charity, with no set route and no minimum distance.
This year, money raised will support the British Heart Foundation and Heartbeat Trust UK, as well as efforts to provide more defibrillators in local communities. Participants can cycle 10 miles or 100, head outdoors or use a static bike at the gym. Agents can take part individually, recruit family and friends, or get the whole branch involved. Firms could even turn it into an office-to-office challenge.
Making miles matter
Agents Giving hopes to harness estate agency's presence in communities across the UK to raise money and awareness of cardiac emergencies. Up to 100,000 out-of-hospital cardiac arrests occur in the UK each year, making rapid CPR and access to a defibrillator particularly important.
David Newnes, chairman of Agents Giving, said: "We want 1,000 people from across the property industry to get involved – but our real ambition is to see estate agency offices everywhere getting on their bikes.
"You don't have to be a cyclist. Get your team together, set your own challenge and make your miles matter.
"It's easy to take part and, together, we can make a real difference in our communities."
