A fashion enthusiast has successfully recreated Molly-Mae Hague's earring stack for a fraction of the cost, after being inspired by the former Love Island star's collection. The trend for small, chic, luxury-looking jewellery, particularly multiple delicate stud or hoop earrings, has been popular for years, and Hague's style prompted one shopper to expand her own piercing collection.
Hague had previously revealed that many of her tiny studs and hoops are from Maria Tash, a high-end London-based jewellery brand and piercing studio. However, with prices often exceeding £1,000 per earring, the shopper sought more affordable alternatives. She visited Astrid and Miyu to get a third hole pierced in her lobes, praising the service as swift, painless and friendly.
She purchased Astrid and Miyu's Triple Topaz Piercing Stud 6mm for £320, noting they are designed to last a lifetime. She also bought Cosmic Star Charm Huggies in Gold for £65, which she says resemble Hague's jewellery. Another brand she turned to was Abbott Lyon, popular with celebrities like Olivia Attwood and Stacey Solomon. She regularly wears the Sterling Silver Mini Starburst Crystal Earrings (Gold) at £69, which she believes closely match Maria Tash's designs.
For a more statement look, she opts for Abbott Lyon's Mini Organic Hoops (Gold) at £39 or Ribbed Hoops (Gold) at £55. The Strike Twice Lightning Bolt Earrings, retailing at £49, also bear a strong likeness to Hague's lightning bolt studs. The shopper also expressed interest in Lily & Roo, a brand whose designs are reminiscent of pieces worn by the Princess of Wales, citing the Gold Marquise Diamond Drop Hoop Earrings (£89) and Gold Curved Diamond Style Huggie Hoop Earrings (£79) as appearing far pricier than their actual cost.
